Most of All, to Love

When I first held you in my arms, my son,
And dreamed of all the things I'd wish for you,
I knew the day would come when you'd have grown,
And thought about the words I'd say to you,
And the best advice that I can give,
Is please, my son, Always remember this,
To be good, to be kind,
To respect your soul, your body, and your mind,
To work hard, to have fun, but most of all, to love,
Most of all, to love.
Since that day I've watched as you have grown,
Laughed with your laughter and dried your tears,
And shared the joys and sorrows you have known,
And helped you learn life's lessons through the years,
I've hoped and prayed for your happiness,
So please, my son,Always remember this,
To be good, to be kind,
To respect your soul,
Your body, and your mind,
To work hard, to have fun,
But most of all, to love,
Most of all, to love.
And soon the day will come when you will go,
A young man starting a life of your own,
Answers to questions may be hard to find,
And how to make the right choice, hard to know,
But if you're wondering how a man should live,
Please my son, always remember this,
To be good, to be kind,
To respect your soul, your body, and your mind,
To work hard, to have fun, but most of all,...

To love...just as much...as you can,
To love just as much as you can,
And then, you will know
What it means to be a man
To love...to love, to live, and to laugh, and to learn,
And to love...to love,
To love, to live, and to laugh, and to learn,
And to love...to love, to love,...
Most of all to love.
